Sometimes during my workout,\u00a0I take\u00a0the word\u00a0“neighbor” literally as the person on the machine next to me. \u00a0Yesterday someone was there and\u00a0as I was working out I\u00a0started praying for him. I prayed for him, his family, his friends, and his job, but\u00a0it felt\u00a0jumbled and messy, and not quite\u00a0right.<\/p>\n

I stopped myself for a moment\u00a0and thought…<\/p>\n

Holy Spirit, please give me the words to pray for this man.<\/em><\/p>\n

I think I was hoping for specifics about him to better pray for this one man, but the next thoughts that started flowing through my mind were…<\/p>\n

Let him Glorify You with his life,<\/em>
\nLet him Glorify You through his marriage,<\/em>
\nLet him Glorify You through\u00a0his children,<\/em>
\nLet him Glorify You through\u00a0his job,<\/em>
\nLet him Glorify You through\u00a0his family,<\/em>
\nLet him Glorify You through\u00a0his friends.<\/em>
\nLet him Glorify You in all aspects of his life.<\/em>
\nLet him Glorify You with his life.<\/em><\/p>\n

Halfway through this prayer I realized\u00a0that these words were not mine, they did not come from me.\u00a0I realized this prayer had been given to me.<\/p>\n

I am still in awe of this perfect prayer. \u00a0 It’s\u00a0beautiful simplicity\u00a0and it’s perfect logic that both allow it to be prayed over everyone while keeping it always aligned with His will.<\/p>\n

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
