{"id":1339,"date":"2017-02-27T12:24:11","date_gmt":"2017-02-27T18:24:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ourbestlife.org\/?p=1339"},"modified":"2017-02-27T12:24:11","modified_gmt":"2017-02-27T18:24:11","slug":"faithful-in-the-little-things","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/ourbestlife.org\/?p=1339","title":{"rendered":"Faithful in the little things"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>&#8220;He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much.<br \/>\nLuke 16:10<\/em><\/p>\n<p>When I think of being faithful in the little things, I am reminded of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ourbestlife.org\/?p=135\">\u201cThe Little Way\u201d of Saint Th\u00e9r\u00e8se\u00a0of Lisieux<\/a>. \u00a0I am reminded of the image of seeking holiness of life in the ordinary and the everyday.<\/p>\n<p>Recently I have been trying to be faithful in the little things by\u00a0acknowledging that He is guiding me, directing me and teaching me through the little moments of my everyday. \u00a0As music plays in the background of my day and a specific song catches my attention, I acknowledge that He chose this song for me\u00a0in this specific moment \u00a0and I thank Him and quietly listen for His message. \u00a0When my soul is pricked by a moment that has passed or something that has been said, I immediately turn inward to thank Him and attempt to understand the lesson buried within. \u00a0These faithful little moments have been such a blessing to me as I find myself thinking of Him, turning towards Him, leaning on Him, loving Him more and more throughout my everyday life.<\/p>\n<p>I pray to continue growing in faithfulness in very little things so that someday He will grant me the grace to be faithful in much!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much.
